Alignment Conveyor Belt / Safety Switch (Deviation Switch)
Model (Specification): KPT1-12-30
Weight: 1.7 kg
Description
The Deviation Switch is a safety protection device designed to detect conveyor belt misalignment and prevent spillage or belt damage. By correcting or stopping the conveyor when the belt runs off-track, it helps to avoid material loss, equipment breakdown, and workplace hazards.
This switch is widely used in industries such as mining, power generation, chemical plants, and other conveyor systems where reliability and safety are critical.
Working Principle
-
When the conveyor belt deviates from its normal path, the belt edge pushes the side roller of the deviation switch.
-
As the roller moves, it activates the internal micro-switch.
-
Once the deviation exceeds a preset angle, the switch sends out a warning or stop signal, shutting down the conveyor to prevent accidents.
-
After the belt returns to normal alignment, the roller automatically resets to the center position.
This ensures continuous monitoring and safe operation of the conveyor belt system.
Installation and Usage
-
Mount the deviation switch firmly onto the conveyor frame.
-
The side roller should be positioned perpendicular to the conveyor belt edge.
-
Keep a distance of 50–100 mm between the side roller and the belt edge.
-
For effective monitoring, install one pair of deviation switches for every 50 meters of conveyor length.
